The weather has been absolutely crazy lately. When the sun isn't shining, it's either raining, sleeting, or snowing. For every season, there's a reason. Am I right? In my world, winter is the perfect time to curl up with a good book. Don't you agree.
There's so, so many to choose from. I've made a dent of my reading list and I bet you're the same. Over the last week, I've gotten a bit historical with Elizabeth Hoyt's Sweetest Scoundrel. Book #9 of the Maiden Lane series about the black sheep of the Makepeace family. A true love conquers all kinda book!  
If you love your December reading time as much as I do, dear readers and friends, I'll go one better. How about if I just a book away to celebrate the love of winter reading? Put my money where my mouth is kinda thing!

"Soft, sweet and perfectly pepperminty, this ultra-easy and eye-catching fudge will be voted the most likely to steal the show" this holiday season. I LOVE this recipe. It's easy, tasty, and a real holiday treat! 
Ingredients: 1 bag (12 oz) white vanilla baking chips (2 cups) 1 container vanilla frosting 1/4 teaspoon peppermint extract Red gel food color 3 (6-inch) peppermint candy canes, unwrapped, coarsely crushed (about 1/4 cup) Directions: Line 8-inch square pan with foil, leaving foil overhanging at 2 opposite sides of pan; spray foil with cooking spray. In large microwavable bowl, microwave white vanilla baking chips uncovered on High 1 minute. Spoon frosting over chips. Microwave uncovered on High 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, continue to microwave in 15-second increments until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in peppermint extract. Place 1/2 cup fudge mixture into small bowl; tint red by stirring in food color to desired color. Spread untinted fudge mixture into pan. Drop heaping tablespoons of red fudge mixture in pan to create random pattern. Pull table knife through layers for marbled design. Sprinkle crushed candies over top. Refrigerate uncovered until set, about 1 hour. Remove from pan by lifting foil; peel foil away. Using sharp knife, cut into 8 rows by 8 rows, cleaning knife blade after each cut.
